Insurance Specialist

Job Description:

* Validates patients’ billing information, selects and completes the insurance coverage information for the patient in their quest to access medical care.

* Regularly communicates with medical staff and insurance companies to ensure prior approval requirements are met.

* Follows protocols for proper authorization and processing of all therapy services ordered by the Hospital’s medical staff

* Document all information in computer system.

* Immediately informs the Finance Department about patients who are underinsured or without insurance.
